Controversy erupts as Ambati visits Tirumala with political sticker

Must read

Former minister Ambati Rambabu has ignited controversy during his visit to the Tirumala temple for darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Monday. The YSRCP leader was seen wearing a shirt with a sticker featuring the photo of YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy, in blatant violation of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) rules, which prohibit the display of political party symbols, flags, and stickers during temple visits.
BJP MP CM Ramesh expressed outrage over Rambabu’s action, condemning his disregard for TTD rules. Ramesh, who was also visiting Tirumala for darshan, stated, “It is outrageous for Ambati Rambabu to come to the Tirumala temple with a political party sticker in his pocket.” He questioned Rambabu’s respect for the temple, asserting that such actions reflect a lack of reverence for the sacred site.
Ramesh further insisted that individuals like Rambabu, who disrespect the sanctity of Tirumala, should not be allowed in the temple. He questioned how Rambabu could wear a sticker of someone who allegedly disrespects the temple’s traditions. In light of the incident, CM Ramesh announced his intention to lodge a formal complaint with the TTD regarding Rambabu’s conduct, emphasising the need to uphold the sanctity of the holy site.
