No new notices issued, says Ranganath HYDRAA team reviews KTCDA policies for FTL, buffer zones 

Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) officials reviewed Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA) on Friday.
 Commissioner AV Ranganath held a meeting with officials from the Karnataka Tank Conservation and Development Authority (KTCDA). A team of HYDRAA officials reviewed the KTCDA Act of 2014. They conducted a study on the measures being taken by KTCDA for lake conservation.
KTCDA CEO Raghavan stated that all land within the Full Tank Level (FTL) and buffer zones will be considered as government property. In Karnataka, the buffer zone is regarded as the maximum water level limit. Through the Dishank app in Karnataka, details about government and patta (private) land, as well as information about the rightful owner of the land can be easily accessed.
HYDRAA studied the approaches KTCDA is following in removing lake encroachments.  The Karnataka officials also explained that for lake development, Detailed Project Reports (DPR) are prepared, reviewed by a technical team and only then is work initiated.
 In Telangana, the news of Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) issuing new notices has gone viral. Commissioner Ranganath has responded to it saying that no new notices have been issued and everybody must restrain from spreading misinformation.
