Dolly Dhananjaya on his intense role in Zebra

Must read

Dolly Dhananjaya, best known for his portrayal of Jali Reddy in Pushpa, is now set to play one of the lead characters in the upcoming film Zebra, alongside Satya Dev. Directed by Eswar Karthik, the film is scheduled to release on November 22 in Telugu and four other languages.
Speaking about his role, Dhananjaya said, “I played a powerful and intense gangster character.” He explained that the film features two interconnected worlds: one centered around a bank and the other around gangsters. “Director Eswar crafted the story based on some true incidents. It delves into financial crimes within the banking system, something we’ve all heard about but rarely understand in detail. This film explores how such crimes occur,” he elaborated.
Dhananjaya praised the director’s storytelling approach, saying, “Eswar narrated the story in a way that’s easy for everyone to understand. When he first shared the script with me, I was immediately intrigued. It was a well-bound script.”
The actor also highlighted the film’s entertainment quotient. “While the story is intense, it also includes comedy and other entertaining elements. The director has skillfully blended everything into a screenplay-driven film,” he shared.
On working with co-star Satya Dev, Dhananjaya said, “He’s a very good friend of mine, and I had a great time working with him.”
Expressing his gratitude towards the Telugu audience, Dhananjaya said, “The Telugu audience has embraced me ever since Pushpa. Jali Reddy remains a memorable role for me. I hope to continue receiving good opportunities in Telugu cinema in the future.”
