Dy. Commercial Tax Officer falls in ACB net, held

A deputy Commercial Tax Officer was trapped by the Anti Corruption Bureau officials while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.50 lakh here on Wednesday.
ACB DSP Ramachandra Rao said that the Deputy Commercial Tax Officer O Srinivas demanded Rs 1.50 from a trader who was doing his business on the national highway.  The trader complained the matter to the ACB officials.
The Officer demanded Rs 4 lakh from the trader but he agreed to the trader’s offer of Rs 1.50 to do a favour. When he was accepting the graft from the trader, the ACB officials caught him red-handed and seized the currency notes. The ACB officials including DSP P Ramachandr Rao and Inspector Seshu arrested the Deputy Commercial Tax officer.
