Do not deny hall tickets, colleges told

Prakasam District Collector A. Thameem Ansariya has directed college managements not to deny hall tickets to students on the grounds of non-payment of fees.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Collector Ansariya emphasized that no student should be refused hall tickets or prevented from attending classes or practical examinations due to issues related to fee reimbursement.
She warned that strict action would be taken against any degree or intermediate college in the district found denying hall tickets or barring students from attending classes or practical exams.
The Collector mentioned that she had received reports of some college principals withholding certificates and preventing students from sitting for exams due to non-payment of fees.
Ansariya reiterated that the government has issued clear guidelines prohibiting the withholding of students’ certificates. She further warned that any college found in violation of these directives would be blacklisted, with stringent action taken against the authorities concerned.
She also clarified that student fees would be credited directly into the accounts of the respective colleges, and a Government Order (GO) regarding this has already been issued.
