Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan met Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan (Agriculture) and Nirmala Sitharaman (Finance) in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss key issues regarding agriculture and rural development in Andhra Pradesh.
During his meeting with Chouhan, Pawan Kalyan led a delegation to discuss agricultural schemes, farmers’ welfare, and rural development.
The two leaders discussed various initiatives, including PM Gram Sadak Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and MGNREGA, with Chouhan assuring full support for Andhra Pradesh under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Pawan Kalyan also highlighted the success of the Lakhpati Didi scheme and invited the Union Minister to visit AP, which was accepted.
Later, Pawan Kalyan met Finance Minister Sitharaman to discuss an extension on the AIIB loan for the Andhra Pradesh Rural Roads Project (APRRP). He requested that the loan deadline be extended to December 31, 2026, as the project could not be completed by the original deadline of December 31, 2024.
