Transgender murder case solved : 12 held

The police resolved the brutal murder of a leader of transgender people by arresting 12 persons.
SP Krishnakanth told the media here on Sunday that on December 26, Hashini, who was a leader to a large number of transgender people, was brutally murdered at underpass bridge at Tapathopu near here. The murder of transgender leader created a sensation in the region. The police took the murder very seriously and formed special teams to nab the killers.
The special teams arrested 12 persons in connection with the murder of transgender Hashini. Struggle over supremacy and the leadership issue were said to be the reasons for her brutal murder. The investigation revealed that 15 persons were involved in the murder case and so far they have arrested 12 of them. Search is on to arrest the remaining three killers, the SP said.
The SP explained that serious differences erupted between the deceased Hashini and another transgender Alekhya on various issues including gaining supremacy over groups of transgender people.  The SP said that transgenders Alekhya, Sulochana and Sheela planned the murder and executed along with the other accused. All the accused belonged to the Nellore district.
 The SP said the police unravelled the case using advanced technology and appreciated the Kodavaluri and Vidavaluru police for resolving the sensational case within a week. The police produced the arrested accused before the media.
