Siddharth sparks debate with comments on Pushpa 2’s promotional hype

Must read

The promotional campaign for Pushpa 2: The Rule was a massive success, culminating in a record-breaking opening on December 5. However, actor Siddharth has expressed skepticism about the film’s reach, attributing its success to clever marketing.
In a recent podcast, Siddharth stated, “It’s all about marketing. In India, it’s not difficult to gather crowds. People will assemble to watch anything, even construction work.” He downplayed the significance of the large turnout at the film’s promotional event in Patna, Bihar, suggesting that it was merely a result of organized efforts.
Siddharth drew an analogy between the crowds at political rallies and those at film promotional events. “Just because a political party can muster a large crowd doesn’t mean they’ll win the election,” he said. He implied that many attendees at such events are motivated by incentives, such as food and drink. The actor’s comments have sparked a heated debate on social media, with many fans of Pushpa 2 taking exception to his views. Siddharth’s remarks have been perceived as dismissive of the film’s genuine popularity and the enthusiasm of its fans.
