Pooja Hegde’s next with Dulquer Salmaan

After a dull period in the South Indian film industry, Pooja Hegde is now securing big projects and is once again busy with a multitude of films. The actress is currently shooting a film with Suriya and has also signed another film with Vijay, which will be his last project before he ventures into full-time politics.
In addition to her South Indian projects, Pooja Hegde is also working on a Hindi film opposite Varun Dhawan, which was officially announced a few days ago. Now, according to a source, Pooja Hegde has signed another Telugu film, this time opposite Malayalam superstar Dulquer Salmaan. In recent times, Dulquer Salmaan has been focusing more on Telugu films and has signed another project with a newcomer as director. Cherukuri Sudhakar is producing the film and Naga Shaurya is also on board as another lead. The source added that the makers have roped in Pooja Hegde to play the female lead and her role is crucial to the plot.
The film’s shooting is scheduled to take place next year. With this new project, Pooja Hegde is back to her busy schedule in the South Indian film industry and also in Hindi. Interestingly, the actress didn’t sign any films in the last two years as she took a break from Telugu cinema. She was initially supposed to work on Guntur Kaaram opposite Mahesh Babu, but she left the project due to delays. Sreeleela eventually replaced her and the film released during this year’s Sankranthi, receiving mixed reviews and underperforming financially.
There are also reports that Pooja Hegde may reunite with Allu Arjun in his upcoming film, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
