All India women’s volleyball tourney begins

The Nadella Basavalurnaiah Memorial All India Women’s Invitation National Volleyball Tournament commenced on Thursday at the VR Siddhartha Indoor Sports Complex in Kanuru, near Vijayawada. The four-day tournament is being organised by the Nadella Basavapurnaiah Trust.
The tournament was inaugurated by Penamaluru MLA Bode Prasad and Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rama Mohana Rao.
Around six teams are participating in the tournament, including SRM, Tamil Nadu Sports Authority, JEPAIR University, PKR University, Gujarat Sports Hostel, and Bank of Maharashtra women’s teams.
The event was also attended by Nadella Basavapurnaiah Trust Trustee Nasella Brahmaji Rao, Siddhartha Academy of General Technical Education President Dr C Nageswara Rao, Treasurer S Vishnu, VR Siddhartha Engineering College Principal Prof P Venkateswara Rao, and Arjuna and Dronacharya Awardee A Ramana Rao, among others.
