State Revenue Minister Anagani Satya Prasad emphasised the government’s commitment to streamlining land survey procedures and prioritising public involvement, during the Regional Revenue Officers Conference held on Tuesday.  He reaffirmed that the ongoing re-survey process will continue with a focus on efficiency, accessibility, and public participation.  “We will continue the re-survey by simplifying the complex processes and considering the opinions of the people. Our aim is to make the system more efficient and people-friendly,” stated the Minister.
Satya Prasad said the government will ensure that re-survey costs will be decided with the welfare of farmers in mind, addressing concerns raised by landowners and farming communities.  “We are committed to making a decision that is favourable to farmers regarding re-survey costs. Their interests are a priority for us,” he affirmed.
The Minister also outlined several initiatives to make land records more accessible to the public. “We will ensure that detailed records of various lands and the corresponding maps are available in every village secretariat for easy access by the public,” he said.  The government also plans to notify villagers in advance about upcoming re-surveys, offering three available dates for each slot to ensure full participation. “The re-survey will be communicated to the public through SMS and phone calls, ensuring no one is left unaware,” he added.
Addressing concerns over complaints related to the re-survey process, the Minister assured that grievances will be resolved before proceeding. “Before moving forward with any re-survey, we will address and resolve every complaint raised by the people. We are committed to a transparent process,” he said.
The Minister also touched on the digitisation of revenue records, stating that linking them with the Registration Department will enhance transparency and efficiency.  “A record will be maintained in each village based on survey numbers, making land details readily accessible at the local level,” he explained. Looking ahead, Minister Satya Prasad announced that a follow-up Regional Revenue Conference will be held in Visakhapatnam in February, to further address land record issues and improve the system.

Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) RP Sisodia, CCLA G. Jayalakshmi, Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, along with several MLAs, were present.
