l Stringent action to be taken against middlemen and illegal rice transport.
Grain procurement in the State is progressing at a fast pace, with Civil Supplies officials having purchased 21,04,233 metric tonnes of various farm products so far, said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.
After inspecting the grain purchase centres at Rythu Seva Centres in Ganguru, located in the Penamaluru Assembly segment of Krishna district, the Chief Minister held a meeting with local farmers. Speaking to the media, he highlighted the losses farmers had suffered under the previous government, which failed to pay them after procuring their grain.
“Under the TDP-led NDA Government, payments are made to farmers within 48 hours of grain purchase. In fact, 93% of farmers receive payments within 24 hours. So far, Rs 4,730 crore has been credited to the accounts of farmers across the State,” said Chandrababu.
The Chief Minister assured that measures would be taken to increase farmers’ revenue, adding that the farming community is now in a better position compared to before. He also announced the introduction of the silo system, which will bring storage facilities closer to farmers, allowing them to market their produce at their discretion. This system, he said, would also ensure better prices for stored grain.
Chandrababu encouraged farmers to cultivate crops that have a higher market demand and revealed plans to reduce investment while increasing profits. He stressed the need to significantly reduce pesticide use and instructed officials to prevent water from accumulating in fields with standing crops.
The Chief Minister also vowed to take strict action against the middlemen system and pledged to tackle the illegal transport of rice stocks. “We will be very strict in controlling rice smuggling and recycling,” he added.

‘Our govt will resolve
all land disputes’
PNS n machilipatnam
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said the TDP-led NDA government will comprehensively resolve all land disputes through ‘Revenue Sadassulu’ (meetings) across the State.
Addressing a ‘revenue sadassu’ at Edupugallu village of Kankipadu mandal in Krishna district, the Chief Minister promised to resolve all kinds of disputes linked to the land.
“We will comprehensively resolve all land issues. This government will take the responsibility to permanently resolve issues once and for all,” said Naidu, adding that the government will act humanely during this process.
According to the CM, he received over 1.5 lakh petitions in the past six months, out of which 78,854 pertained to records of rights, 9,830 linked to house sites and 9,528 were related to land grabbing, among others.
After observing all these petitions, the TDP supremo noted that the biggest problem requiring his attention is the resolution of land issues.
Observing that the ‘revenue sadassulu’ scheduled from December 3 to January 9, 2025, will resolve long pending land issues, Naidu highlighted that these meetings will take the onus of returning land to its rightful owners.
He said ‘revenue sadassulu’ received 95,263 petitions until now, attended by up to three lakh people and also reminded that the NDA government has enacted stringent rules to deal with land grabbers.
Further, Naidu promised to update land records and issue passbooks embedded with QR codes for owners to check if a particular parcel of land is under their name or not.
