The Mega Job Mela, organised by the NTR District Administration under the banner of Vikasith Bharath, was held at VP Siddhartha Public School in Mogalrajapuram, Vijayawada, on Saturday. The event received an overwhelming response from unemployed youths, with over 5,000 candidates registering for the mela. A total of 60 companies participated, offering job opportunities to the attendees. As many as 1,200 candidates received offer letters from various companies.
The Mega Job Mela was inaugurated by Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni), NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha, MLAs Gadde Rama Mohana Rao and Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao. During the closing ceremony, the dignitaries presented offer letters to the candidates who performed outstandingly during the selection process.
Addressing the gathering, MP Chinni stated that the Vikasith Bharat Mega Job Mela was conducted to provide job opportunities to every unemployed youth in the district. He emphasised that under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the state government recently launched the ‘Swarna Andhra@2047’ vision document. He claimed that the previous YSRCP government had failed to provide adequate employment opportunities, resulting in hardships for the youth.
Chinni highlighted the steps taken by CM Naidu to attract investments from major companies like TCS, Reliance, Google, and Zindal, which are expected to create lakhs of jobs for the youth. He also mentioned that Amaravati would soon be developed as a Service Sector hub. He assured the youth that the state government was working towards overall development and providing employment opportunities to every young person. Chinni added that Mega Job Melas would be organised in every assembly constituency in the district, and an awareness programme on MSME would be held on January 5.
NTR District Collector Dr G Lakshmisha encouraged the youth to seek employment opportunities globally and prove their talents. He remarked that while many youths may prefer jobs close to home, this thinking might limit their opportunities. He advised them to make use of the Job Melas to secure a bright future. The mela saw participation from renowned companies such as Wipro, Tata, Panasonic, Tech Mahindra, First Source, Smart Trains, Varun Motors, Axis Bank, and others, who were looking for suitable candidates.
The event was also attended by Vijayawada RDO K. Chaitanya, DRDA PD K. Srinivasa Rao, Corporators Chennupati Usha Rani, Potluri Sai Baba, Mummaneni Prasad, Jasti Sambasiva Rao, Devineni Aparna, and others.
