Minister for Housing and I&PR K Parthasarathy inaugurated a free medical camp organized jointly by the Manipal hospital and GVR trust at Chinnampet village in Chatrai mandal in Nuzvid constituency on Sunday.
The Minister saw the general medical check-ups, cancer tests, eye tests, heart tests, lung tests, and testing centres set up in the medical camp. He asked the doctors about the medical tests they conducted. He greeted the patients who came to the medical camp by name and inquired about their health conditions.
Speaking on the occasion Minister Parthasarathy said that the aim of his government is that no poor person, regardless of their wealth, should be deprived of better medical care.
“The government aims to provide health security to the poor people. Even though poor people are under NTR medical service for some diseases, they are suffering financially due to receiving treatment in hospitals by spending huge money. Financial assistance will be provided from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to everyone who is suffering financially and the Government will support them in every way,” the Minister asserted.
The Minister urged everyone to take advantage of this mega-free medical camp provided by private institutions and voluntary organizations. Minister Parthasarathy expressed special gratitude to Manipal Hospital and GVR Trust for organizing this medical camp. He called upon voluntary organizations to set up such free medical camps in the coming days.
He advised the people to undergo medical tests if they suffered any health problems. taking a dig at the erstwhile YSRCP regime, he alleged that the previous government completely ruined the health sector and neglected the health of the poor. The people were not given proper financial help from the CMRF, he regretted.
