The Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC), Dil Raju, asked BRS Working President KT Rama Rao not to drag the film industry into controversies.
Posting regarding this on X on Tuesday, Dil Raju said that KTR’s comments on film industry representatives meeting Chief Minister Revanth Reddy were painful. He said that everybody knew that the meeting between film industry representatives and the Chief Minister was not a secret one with one or two persons.
Dil Raju said the meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and it discussed the state of the Telugu film industry. The meeting was held openly and the Telugu film industry is happy about the meeting, he said.
Dil Raju said the Chief Minister identified the Telugu film
industry’s contributions in the development of Telangana. The Chief Minister hoped that the Telugu film industry would cooperate in the development of the state, he said.
“As the representatives of the Telugu film industry, we welcomed the Chief Minister’s plans to make Hyderabad a Global Entertainment Hub. So we request KTR that he should not drag the Telugu film industry into controversies and desist from attributing non-existent politics to the film industry. We request KTR not to use the film industry for his political attacks and counterattacks,” Dil Raju said.
He said the Telugu film industry which provides livelihood to lakhs of people is hoping that it will get the cooperation of all governments and support from the public.
It may be recalled that KTR, while reacting on the Allu Arjun issue once again on Monday, said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s statements were intended to divert attention from public issues.
The Chief Minister is not speaking now as he has struck a deal with cinema people, KTR had said.
