The Congress government has decided to give a financial assistance of Rs 12,000 per acre per year under the ‘Rythu Bharosa’ scheme to the owners of all arable lands.
The government decided not to give Rythu Bharosa to lands taken over for real estate projects, Nala converted, Industrial, lands which have hills and mountains, Mining, Roads, and Residential lands used for commercial activities and government acquired lands for various projects.
Addressing the media after a three-hour Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the government has decided to give a financial assistance of Rs 12,000 instead of the Rs 15,000 financial assistance for farmers under Rythu Bharosa. He said the Congress government is increasing the financial assistance amount to farmers from Rs.10,000 per acre per year to Rs.12,000 per acre per year.
CM said that the government has also decided to give Rs.12,000 per year to the landless people (Farm Laborers), who are living in Gudems and Thandas. He said that they named this scheme after the ‘Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa’ Scheme. “Not having land is a curse and not extending financial support to them by governments is another curse. So the Congress government decided to give them Rs 12,000 per year,” he said.
The Chief Minister said the Cabinet decided to give new ration cards to eligible rationcard-less people.
The Chief Minister said that all these three schemes will be launched on January 26, that is, Republic Day. The CM said that the Cabinet decided to implement these schemes from January 26 marking the ‘implementation of constitution completed 75 years’.
The Chief Minister said the Congress government has decided to do good to the Telangana farmers in the New Year to make agriculture a festival. The Chief Minister made it clear that the Congress government’s policy is to increase the government revenue and distribute the same to the people.
He said that opposition parties have assumed a lot on the Rythu Bharosa scheme and some sections of the media created confusion but nothing much is there
