The Minister for Education, IT and Electronics, Nara Lokesh, has said that Vision-2047 will certainly be realised under the able leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and the State will finally transform into the global digital technology hub. Inaugurating the two-day Andhra Pradesh Digital Technology Summit-2025, being organised by the AP Digital Technology Industry (AP DGT) and the Software Technology Park of India (STPI), here on Wednesday, Lokesh said that he is proud to participate in the summit which will provide the way for the progress of technology in the State. The event will focus on development of IT, Deep Technology and start-ups.

Stressing the need for innovation to achieve progress, the IT Minister added that Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, quantum computing, health tech, edu tech and infrastructure technology will play a crucial role in the coming days. “There is a need for IT, Electronics, Medtech and Smart Technologies to work in close coordination to resolve social issues,” Lokesh said. He announced that the State will be elevated as a $2 trillion economy by 2047. Observing that Chandrababu had developed IT as part of Vision-2020, the IT Minister said that he is fortunate enough to become a partner of Vision-2047 and this will certainly be realised. Stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is extending his cooperation for the development of the State, Lokesh announced that Rs 2 lakh crore is now being invested in the State. Making a promise to decentralise development, he said Kurnool will be promoted as a renewable energy hub while Chittoor and Kadapa will be encouraged as electronics manufacturing hub. “Godavari districts will be transformed into aqua hub,” Lokesh said, and announced that the biggest chemical park is going to be established in North Andhra.
