Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu shared his insights on the State’s development, upcoming initiatives, and his vision for the future at Naravaripalle Skill Training Centre in Chandragiri constituency of Tirupati district on Wednesday.
Addressing media persons, the Chief Minister noted that people are returning to their native villages to celebrate the Sankranti festival, which is an age-old tradition. The CM said the Swarna Andhra Pradesh Vision 2047 was created with the goal of making every home and village joyful.
He explained that the vision aims for a wealthy, healthy, and happy society. Reflecting on the past, he spoke about Vision 2020, which contributed to Telangana becoming one of the highest per capita income States in India. He also highlighted the growing economic success of Telugu people globally, as they have become known for high incomes and entrepreneurial excellence.
The Chief Minister spoke about the State’s efforts to uplift all sections of society through initiatives such as the Super 6 schemes. These include increasing social security pensions to Rs 4,000, Rs 6,000, Rs 10,000, and Rs 15,000 for various groups, making the State a leader in social welfare pensions. Andhra Pradesh’s pension system is praised for its efficiency and high satisfaction rate, with the State providing 64 lakh pensions monthly, amounting to Rs 33,000 crore annually.
He referred to the 199 Anna Canteens that provide meals to the poor at just Rs 5. “Plans are in place to set up one canteen in every constituency in the future,” he added. The Chief Minister reiterated the State’s commitment to providing free gas cylinders — one provided so far and others to follow. They are also looking into piped gas distribution. Additionally, the State has been proactive in releasing long-pending dues, including Rs 6700 crore for employees, police, and contractors, and Rs 996 crore for Polavaram displaced persons.
“In a bid to improve agricultural practices and promote the dairy industry, the government is planning to turn every household into an entrepreneurial hub. The government will also address housing needs, provide gas connections, and ensure 24-hour water supply in rural areas. Under the Surya Ghar scheme, the government will provide solar energy to every home in the region, and individuals can earn income by selling excess electricity. The goal is to ensure that every home has solar rooftops by this Ugadi,” Chandrababu said.
The CM announced a new WhatsApp governance initiative, which will make over 150 services, including Aadhar, caste certificates, and birth certificates, available online. The Chief Minister promised to improve infrastructure, including building cattle sheds for livestock, ensuring proper drainage, and enhancing street lighting. He also discussed plans to expand healthcare services and provide meals for patients.
The State is promoting zero-budget natural farming and modernising small kirana shops through Easy Mart. Waste management will also be improved with the collection of trash through auto-rickshaws, which will be composted, helping make the region cleaner. The Chief Minister also highlighted the welfare measures for women and SC/ST communities, such as providing auto-rickshaws to women for economic empowerment, with the potential for earning up to Rs 12,000 per month.
With advancements in technology, the State will continue to innovate and leverage these changes to improve healthcare services for its citizens. He concluded by emphasising that every family should strive to have one entrepreneur and encouraged the adoption of AI learning in every household to ensure future growth.
The event was attended by Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani, District Collector Dr S Venkateswarlu, and others, all of whom participated in discussions on the government’s development agenda.
