Boyapati shooting at Kumbh Mela for Akhanda 2

Director Boyapati Srinivas is teaming up with Nandamuri Balakrishna for the sequel of ‘Akhanda 2’. Balakrishna plays a dual role in this first part and his Aghora character is one of the highlights of the film. Now, Boyapati has already started the shooting of this sequel at the famous Maha Kumbh Mela. “Yes, we started shooting for some key scenes with the Aghora’s backdrop. I met a few Aghoras and also Naga Sadhu at this Kumbh Mela. We started shooting from January 11 here and we will almost complete it on Thursday,” said director Boyapati.
The first part of ‘Akhanda’ was a big success and recently they launched the second part. Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta are the producers of this sequel. Whenever Boyapati and Balakrishna join hands, there are huge expectations on the film. They worked earlier for three films ‘Simha’, ‘Legend’ and ‘Akhanda’, all of them are blockbusters.
Now, he started ‘Akhanda 2’ with the tagline Thandavam, and the story revolves more around the Aghora character played by Balakrishna. Boyapati canned some key scenes at the Kumbh Mela and now, he starts the regular shoot in Hyderabad. On the other hand, Balakrishna is on cloud nine, delivered his fourth consecutive hit with ‘Daaku Maharaaj’. The film was released recently and is doing well at the box-office.
