Director Vishnu Vardhan is in the city to promote his film Premistava, but earlier he directed Pawan Kalyan with Panjaa. He talks about Pawan and his film

Senior Tamil actor Karthik’s son Akash Murali made his debut with the Tamil film ‘Nesippaya’ directed by Vishnu Vardhan. Popular director Shankar’s daughter Aditi Shankar played the lead in this romantic action drama, which was released in Tamil on January 14. Now, the makers are releasing the film in Telugu with the title ‘Premistava’ and the big production house Mythri Movie Makers is distributing it in Telugu.
Interestingly, Vishnu Vardhan directed a Telugu film ‘Panjaa’ with Pawan Kalyan as the lead actor. Though the film was not a commercial hit, the action episodes were made in very stylishly and became talk of the industry at that time. It was released in 2011, and after many years Vishnu Vardhan is promoting his film ‘Premistava’ in Telugu.
Vishnu Vardhan said that he is very happy to be here in the city. Talking about the film, he said it is a love story with drama. “After seeing today’s generation of love stories, do they respect their relationships, are they taking it seriously? Even though they are breaking up their relationships so easily, I was surprised after seeing it. My film deals mostly with these issues and both Akash and Aditi performed very well,” said Vishnu Vardhan. He added that after seeing them doing some scenes in the shoot he got emotional. “That means both did really well,” he said. The director first attempts a love story with a lot of drama with this ‘Premistava’.
Talking about the other artistes, he said he really begged Hindi actress Kalki to do a role in this film. “I need an Indian-based foreigner. So, I requested Kalki to do the role. She was born and brought up in Pondicherry. She speaks Tamil very well. So glad that she was part of my film,” he said about her.
Talking about the music, he said Yuvan Shankar Raja is providing music for all his films. “He was my classmate from seventh class. Actually, he was junior to me and I told him that if I became a director, I want to put him as music director. He turned music director at the age of 16 and after eight years I became a director. From then he is giving music for all my films,” said Vishnu Vardhan.
He said generally the producer may reject this script as it needs to shoot in some European countries. But producer Sneha Britto accepted the script. “I roped in a few technicians from Europe, like the cameraman from Canada and also the action director from Spain. This film has come out with good quality, because it is the combination of all the technicians and other people who worked for it,” said Vishnu Vardhan.
Talking about his Telugu film ‘Panjaa’ and working with Pawan Kalyan, he spoke highly about Pawan Kalyan. “He is always a Power Star. You have to be straight and very direct and he likes people with those qualities, because he is like them. He is powerful and at the same time he is like a child. If he needs anything, or belief, excitement, he is very strong and adamant. He is very correct. It’s very long and I am in touch with him> I am very happy that he became a Deputy CM,” said Vishnu Vardhan about Pawan Kalyan.
