‘Use AI to ensure transperancy’

The construction of Indiramma Houses should be undertaken with Artificial Intelligence (AI) immediately, Revenue and Housing Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said.
He said he had asked officials to make extensive use of tech to ensure that only bonafide beneficiaries benefit from the Indiramma Housing Scheme launched by the Telangana Government without any corruption.
Ponguleti held a review meeting with officials on Indiramma Houses at the secretariat on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that it has been decided to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) for selecting beneficiaries to completing the construction of houses.
He said a special app has been created and a survey held to select beneficiaries transparently. He said that it has been decided to use AI to monitor the progress of house construction daily from anywhere in the state without any possibility of irregularities. He said that state-of-the-art tech methods are being implemented to identify the really poor.
The officials were asked to identify ineligibles and select the eligible ones by matching survey details conducted through the mobile app with cloud-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The payments for the construction of houses will be made in four instalments, and it has been decided to use AI to ensure that payments are made on time without any delay.
