Minister for Environment, Forest and Endowments Konda Surekha has been formally invited to attend the Brahmotsavams of Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwari Swamy Devasthanam scheduled from January 30 to February 3, and the Mahashivaratri celebrations from February 25 to March 1.
The temple’s Executive Officer Purendra Kumar, along with the priests, met the Minister at her Secretariat office and extended the invitation. The temple priests offered Vedic blessings and presented her with temple prasadam and an invitation letter.
Briefing the Minister on the upcoming festivities, EO Purendra Kumar outlined the key events, including Dhwajarohanam, Maha Purnahuti, Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and the celestial wedding of Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwari Swamy as part of Brahmotsavams. For Mahashivaratri, the temple will conduct the Kalyanotsavam, Rathotsavam, Ashwa Vahana Seva and Avabhrudhotsavam.
In view of the back-to-back celebrations, Minister Surekha directed the EO to coordinate with officials from other departments to ensure smooth arrangements for devotees. She emphasised that no lapses should occur in the management of the festivities and instructed that the events be conducted in a grand and seamless manner.
AICC secretary and Alampur Congress in-charge Sampath Kumar was also present at the meeting.
