Emphasising that the new Global Capability Centres (GCC) policy will be introduced soon,said IT Minister D Sridhar Babu, while addressing the GCC & CEO Summit, organised by the International Start-up Foundation (ISF), at ITC Kohinoor on Friday evening.
Addressing the leaders, Sridhar Babu highlighted the Telangana government’s commitment to establishing a world-class hub for GCCs, backed by progressive policies, cutting-edge infrastructure, a thriving innovation ecosystem and trained manpower.
He said that special concessions for startup products and services would be given and that the government plans to provide the best support for GCC adaptability.
He emphasised the focus on creating an environment that drives innovation, accelerates digital transformation and contributes to the state’s economic growth with a favourable policy framework.
The Minister also mentioned efforts with the Central government to bring the Patent Office, currently in Chennai, to Hyderabad. He highlighted plans for a six-month student internship programme in the future.
Meanwhile, Chairperson & Convenor, ISF, JA Chowdary emphasised ISF’s commitment to driving collaborations. A fireside chat with Sadhguru Madhusudan Sai and Sirisha Voruganti provided leadership and social impact insights.
The ISF GCC & CEO Summit gathered 50-60 global leaders, government representatives and industry pioneers to discuss corporate innovation, entrepreneurship and international collaboration.
Discussions covered policy frameworks, startup mentorship, market access and funding. Roundtable sessions focused on reducing entry barriers, engaging with startups and universities and using technology for risk mitigation.
