Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar handed over land rights patta documents to 374 tribal people at Medarametla village in Addanki constituency on Friday.
These 374 tribal individuals had been living on the land for the past 20 years without any legal rights. The Minister officially granted them land rights during a programme held at the village.
Following this, the Minister inaugurated the newly constructed CC road for the villagers and laid the foundation stone for another CC road in the area. He also laid the foundation for the construction of a community hall at Medarametla SC colony, to be built with funds provided by Synthide factory under its CSR programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Ravi Kumar reiterated that, in line with the promises made during the election campaign, the reconstruction of roads and drainage systems was underway, and efforts were being made to resolve the village’s drinking water shortage.
Ravi Kumar emphasised that many development initiatives had been completed in the past seven months since the formation of the coalition government under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The Minister also mentioned that 180 new electrical poles had been installed in Medarametla SC colony and assured that electricity would be provided to all households in the colony.
