IIIT Hyderabad Smart City Living Lab played a key role in the Telecom Standards Development Society of India’s (TSDSI) newly released white paper, Innovations for Sustainable Urban Living: Insights into Smart City Solutions.
The paper highlights practical solutions for smart city development, addressing challenges, regulations and future pathways. The focus areas include Standardised Smart City Solutions, Regulatory Frameworks and Sandboxes, Challenges and Recommendations.
IIIT Hyderabad’s Smart City Living Lab was featured as a model case study, showcasing deployments based on oneM2M standards and the Indian Urban Data Exchange (IUDX). The lab also presented live demos at the event, including: City IoT Operating Platform (ctOP) – A lightweight, standardised system for better smart city integration. Â
Digital Twin for Water Networks (DTWN) – A real-time, digital water management solution. Â
The demos received high appreciation, with one M2M TP Chair, R Hechwartner, praising ctOP’s scalable and reliable approach to urban solutions. Anuradha Vattem, Chief Technology Architect at Smart City Living Lab, led discussions and showcased IIIT-H’s academic engagement with oneM2M. Â
