Telangana BJP president and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy said that the BJP will raise the issues of teachers, graduates and unemployed people in the Legislative Council and will protest the failure of the promises made by the Congress government.
On Saturday, he participated in a meet and greet programme with teachers in Nalgonda as part of the MLC election campaign and spoke. The Union Minister said that elections will be held for two teachers and one graduate MLC seats on February 27. He said that the BRS, which is supposed to talk about the issues of teachers, unemployed and graduates, has not mentioned their problems anywhere. He said that the BRS has completely reduced the importance of the Legislative Council and held meetings with a mantra.
In the past, MLCs used to question the governments. He said that there used to be a situation where everyone was supported. Unfortunately, the importance of the Legislative Council has been reduced in recent times. The reason for this is the policies of those who salute the Governing Council. He said that the BJP will contest in all three seats.
He said that BRS has faced opposition in 10 years and Congress in one year. He expressed happiness that teachers and employees’ associations are voluntarily coming forward and supporting the BJP in the Legislative Council elections.
He said that the Congress party has announced in all its newspapers that it will fill two lakh jobs by date. He said that the unemployed youth are questioning where that job calendar has gone.
He said that the DSC has made a mess there. He was angry that the Congress is acting recklessly in this matter. He said that it does not have the strength and sincerity to implement six guarantees and 420 sub-guarantees.
He said that there is a need to set up PRC for government employees and teachers. He said that the Central government will provide it to the employees one day in advance without delaying it. He said that the government is in a situation where it is not possible to provide retirement benefits. He said that the future of students is in confusion due to non-receipt of fee reimbursement. He said that college managements are putting pressure on the parents of students. He said that Rs 8,000 crores should be given to educational institutions. He said that the government is taking action in a situation where scholarships of SC, ST and BC students cannot be reimbursed. He expressed his concern that suicides have increased in Gurukul schools and that the food they eat is poisonous.
