Creativity of students showcased at art exhibition

Prominent Telugu writer Dr V Satyavati has praised the creativity of students and stressed the need to nurture this talent into excellence. The exhibition of paintings by Art Mate students, themed around the Telugu language, was held at the Art Mate office in Gurunanak Colony on Sunday, in celebration of International Mother Language Day and the centenary of Telugu artist Damerla Ramarao.
The exhibition was inaugurated by writer Satyavati, who congratulated the students for organising the first-ever art exhibition dedicated to the Telugu language. She expressed that such initiatives not only help preserve the Telugu language but also instil a love for one’s mother tongue among students.
A Sunil Kumar, Director of Art Mate, highlighted that the main purpose of the exhibition was to cultivate students’ interest in art and to promote awareness of the culture. Special guest Pinnaeni Murali Krishna, from the Makineni Basavapunnaiah Science Center, commended the children’s artwork displayed at the event. Senior artist Pavuluri Chidambaram showcased the exquisite illustrations inspired by Satyavati’s poetry about the Telugu language. During the closing ceremony, R Kondal Rao, secretary of Amaravati Balotsavam, along with art enthusiasts M Madhusudana Rao, presented awards to the winners.
