Vishwak Sen Acknowledges Laila’s Failure, Promises Better Films

Must read

Actor Vishwak Sen has faced heavy criticism for his latest film Laila, released on February 14, which was outrightly rejected by audiences. Playing a dual role—one as a model named Sonu and the other as a female character, Laila—the film was filled with double-meaning dialogues and vulgarity, drawing severe backlash.
Following the film’s failure, Vishwak Sen issued a public apology, acknowledging the criticism. He also expressed regret for certain scenes in the movie, which led to financial losses for the producer. Laila was a passion project for him, but it backfired. In his statement, he admitted the film didn’t meet expectations and vowed to be more mindful of his choices. “I promise that whether my films cater to class or mass audiences, they will never cross the line into vulgarity,” he wrote. Vishwak Sen reassured fans that he is taking the feedback seriously and will work towards making better films. “Since the beginning of my career, I have chosen stories that resonate with me and I will continue to do so. However, from now on, every single scene will matter,” he added.
Ending on a positive note, he thanked audiences for their constructive criticism and promised to return with a strong and promising project soon.
