Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, on Tuesday, made it clear that all the promises made in the election manifesto will be fulfilled despite having heavy constraints.
“The TDP-led NDA government is committed to fulfil all the promises made to the people before elections,” the Chief Minister said, and released on the floor of the Assembly the schedule on the implementation of the Super-Six schemes. Responding to the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s address to the joint session of legislature, Chandrababu asked whether the demand of the YSRCP to sanction Special Category Status for the State against the norms is justifiable.
Making it clear that it is not the ruling dispensation that accords Opposition party status for the YSRCP, but the decision has to be taken by the people, the Chief Minister said that the alliance partners did not contest the polls for any selfish ends. They did it to rebuild the State thinking that it is possible only with the double-engine government. The Chief Minister said that the State government is moving ahead with the objective of Swarnandhra Vision-2047, and that the Central assistance for the development of the State is commendable.
“We will work for 365 days and 24 hours a day with the solid commitment to implement the promises made to the people,” Chandrababu said, and pointed out the promises already implemented like revision of pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 and the assistance being extended to the differently abled.
Stating that the State is passing through various constraints due to the inefficient rule of the previous government, the Chief Minister said that on record from the floor of the House, he is appreciating the efforts of the Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan. “Also, I appreciate the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in extending all kinds of cooperation for the progress of the State,” Chandrababu said.
Referring to the poor condition of roads when he became the MLA for the first time, Chandrababu Naidu regretted that the proceedings of the House in the past five years were very unpleasant. “In my 40 years of political life for the first time I have experienced the demand that the MLAs of a party will attend the House only if Opposition status is accorded,” he added.
Perhaps in the whole country it is only the YSRCP that has been demanding Opposition status, while leaving the problems being faced by the people to the winds, he remarked. The Chief Minister felt that sustainable development is possible only with a strong government.
“Wealth can be created only with development following which the revenue of the government will go up,” he said, and reaffirmed his commitment to distributing the wealth thus created to the poor. Making it clear that the State is moving forward with the aim of achieving 15 per cent growth rate, he said that his objective is to take the State to the level of $42,000 per capita income by 2047.
Reaffirming that the State is committed to fulfil the promise of providing 20 lakh jobs, the Chief Minister said that MoUs have already been signed with various companies for providing employment to 6.50 lakh youth. He also made it clear that the vacancies that arise in various government departments will be filled, and unemployment allowance to the tune of Rs 3,000 will be paid to the jobless youth.
Appreciating Pawan Kalyan and Minister Lokesh for launching a mid-day meal scheme in the name of Dokka Seethamma, he said school kits are being supplied in the name of Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan’s name through Vidya Mitra scheme. Talliki Vandanam scheme will be implemented in May, he said and stated that Rs 20,000, including the Central assistance, will be paid to the farmers through Anna Data scheme in three instalments.
The Chief Minister declared on the floor of the House that all the teacher vacancies will be filled through DSC in the coming academic year. Maintaining that Modi’s is a success model while the former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is a failure model, the Chief Minister explained that development, wealth creation, welfare and achievements define the success model.
Chandrababu asserted that his aim is that Telugus should be on top position across the globe and said that food security will be given highest priority. “My government’s first priority is zero poverty. My aim is building a poverty-free State,” Chandrababu Naidu concluded.
All promises will be fulfilled: CM
