Days after the TDP office in Gannavaram was ransacked, TDP chief, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday visited the office and examined the office and the vehicle that was set on fire.

He also visited the family members of Donthu Chinna, the TDP activist who was attacked by the ruling party goondas.

Speaking to the media persons, Chandrababu Naidu dared those who are behind the destruction to fix a date and time for any attack anywhere in the State. He said, “If you are daring enough, fix a date and time and I am ready to face any such kind of havoc that you can create.”

Targeting the police, Naidu said that the police acted like thieves in the Gannavaram incident. “When the Advocate on-duty visited the spot to meet the affected leaders even cases were booked against him.” It is ultimately the police officials who have to face the consequences of whoever instigates them now to commit this kind of incident, stated Naidu.

Strongly condemning the attack on the residence of Donthu Chinna, Naidu said that a large police force was deployed at the Gannavaram airport upon learning about his arrival here. ”Is Gannavaram in Pakistan,” he asked. Had the police acted on time soon after the TDP lodged the complaint, this incident would not have happened, he felt and asked how the provisions of the SC, ST Atrocities Act are invoked when the local inspector belongs to the BC community.

Assuring the TDP activists of his full support to instill confidence in them, Naidu said he is available for them at any point in time. Chandrababu said that even the most notorious terrorists will not cause such damage and the people are feeling ashamed of the police inefficiency.
