Celebrated folk singer Sai Chand dies of heart attack

V. Sai Chand, a voice which was always heard at BRS meetings which used to invigorate crowds has gone silent. The 39-year-old Telangana activist, folk singer and State Warehouse Corporation Chairman passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
His death moved the entire BRS party and leaders who couldn’t control themselves cried. His last rites were held at Vanasthalipuram on Thursday evening.
Sai Chand had gone to his farmhouse in Karukonda in Nagarkurnool district on Wednesday evening.
Around 8 pm he felt uneasiness in his chest and later he was taken to a private hospital in Nagarkurnool.
He was shifted from there to Care Hospital in Gachibowli here where doctors declared him dead.
Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, Minister KT Rama Rao and Harish Rao turned emotional and cried.Sai Chand aspired to be a legislator AND used to help party leaders pen their songs. He used to be the first one to get on to the stage at public meetings and sing, talk about schemes, satire the opposition and entertain the crowd.
People who were waiting for the chief guest used to connect to Sai Chand easily. KCR said that Sai Chand’s untimely death at a relatively young age is painful. He said that his public meetings would not have been possible without Sai Chand’s cultural programmes.
KCR paid floral tributes to sai Chand’s mortal remains and burst into tears. The CM visited the bereaved family and tried to console them. A pall of gloom descended in the area near Saichand’s house.
KCR became emotional and it was difficult for the CM to console Sai Chand’s wife Rajini when she said, “Sir, please call Sai Chand. He will get up if you order.” The CM went to Sai Chand’s father and consoled him and assured the family help.
Ministers T. Harish Rao, Mahamood Ali, Sabita Indra Reddy, MPs Joginapalli Santosh Kumar, local MLA Manchireddy Kishan Reddy, MLCs Goreti Venkanna Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Madhusudanachari and other public representatives came along with the CM and paid their last respects to the departed soul.
