Aamir Khan is all set to work with another South director in his next film. The actor earlier worked with Ram Gopal Varma and AR Murugadoss for the films Rangeela and Ghajini respectively, and has now joined hands with another talented director, Lokesh Kanagaraj. This was disclosed by the actor himself in a media interaction promoting his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par.
There are also reports that he is going to play a cameo in Lokesh and Rajinikanth’s film Coolie, though it is still not confirmed. However, the actor is definitely doing a film with the director. It is said that this film is a superhero film. “Lokesh and I are working on a film in the superhero genre. It’s a big-scale action film and will go on floors in the second half of 2026,” said Aamir in the media interaction.
According to some reports, Lokesh initially wanted to rope in Suriya for the same superhero film, but because of various reasons, it got delayed. Now, Lokesh and Aamir Khan will collaborate for this superhero film, added the reports.
There are also reports that Aamir Khan would return as the alien in a sequel to his 2014 blockbuster PK. But the actor dismissed the rumors and said, “PK 2 is a rumor. I don’t know anything about it.”
At present, Lokesh is working on the film Coolie that stars Rajinikanth in the lead, while Telugu actor Nagarjuna and Kannada actor Upendra are playing key roles in it.
