The TG Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Nune Sridhar, an Executive Engineer of the Irrigation and CAD Department from Choppadandi in Karimnagar, regarding a disproportionate assets case.
The arrest follows extensive raids at 14 locations linked to Sridhar and his family, exposing a vast empire of wealth amassed, allegedly through unlawful means.

The officer, currently posted at Division No. 8, SRSP Camp in Choppadandi, is accused of abusing his official position to acquire assets far beyond his known sources of income.

Sridhar had earlier worked for the Kaleshwaram Project. His tenure there has now come under scrutiny amid investigations into the large-scale irregularities in the project’s execution.

ACB officials said the raids led to the discovery of high-value properties including a luxury villa in Tellapur, a premium flat in Shaikpet, three flats in Karimnagar, commercial space in Ameerpet, independent buildings in Hyderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar, 16 acres of farmland, 19 prime residential plots across Hyderabad, Warangal, and Karimnagar, two four-wheelers, a substantial quantity of gold ornaments and bank deposits.

Among the key assets detected so far are a four-storey commercial-cum-residential building in Malakpet, a sprawling 4,500 sq.ft. flat in SKY HIGH, a luxury gated community in Shaikpet, a high-end villa in Urjit Enclave at Tellapur, a G+3 building in Warangal, undisclosed investments in hotel businesses in Karimnagar, lavish spending on his son’s destination wedding held in Thailand, with expenditures reportedly running into crores.

Officials noted that the value of the seized assets is only a fraction of their actual market worth, which is estimated to run into crores. The searches, still underway, have raised serious concerns over the large-scale corruption and misuse of public office.

Sridhar was taken into custody and has been sent to judicial custody. The investigation is continuing to uncover the full extent of his assets, possible proxy transactions, and the networks that may have enabled the accumulation of wealth.

The ACB has urged the public to report cases of corruption using the Toll-Free Number 1064. Citizens can also contact ACB through WhatsApp (9440446106), Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter) at @TelanganaACB. The ACB assured that the identity of the complainants would be kept confidential.
