The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday arrested an employee of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The accused was identified as K Yadagiri Reddy, manager (engineering), HMWS & SB, Ramanthapur section in Amberpet, who demanded the bribe money from a person to make a correction in the records. Based on a complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught Yadagiri when he accepted the bribe amount. The ACB launched an investigation into the matter.
