The Principal Secretary also advised that the tendering process for the construction of six flyovers and underpasses around KBR Park, part of H-CITI Phase 1, be initiated immediately with a budget of Rs 1,230 crore. He instructed officials to provide a report on land acquisition and compensation related to the project.
Additionally, he emphasised relocating 4,100 electric poles obstructing 125 traffic junctions within three months to ensure the timely execution of junction development and beautification works.
To expedite the work, the Principal Secretary recommended setting up an H-CITI Project Implementation Inter-Departmental Coordination Committee with representatives from Engineering, Traffic Police, Electricity, Water Board, Telecom, Town Planning and other government departments concerned. This committee will help ensure smooth coordination among all stakeholders. He further directed engineers to design road development plans for each project and evaluate existing utilities at the work sites, ensuring that necessary relocations occur before agency work commences.
