Popular Tamil actor Vishal, who also has a strong fanbase in Telugu cinema, has sparked concern over his health. A few weeks ago, he was seen shivering while speaking at a film event, but he later clarified that he was running a high fever and there was nothing to worry about.
However, on Sunday, Vishal collapsed on stage at an event in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. He was attending the Miss Koovagam Transgender Beauty Contest as a chief guest when the incident occurred. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by event organizers and his team.
Fans and well-wishers took to social media to pray for his speedy recovery and express their concern.
On Monday, Vishal’s team released a statement providing a health update, confirming that the actor is stable. “We would like to clarify recent reports regarding Actor Vishal’s health. During his appearance as Chief Guest at an event organized by the transgender community, Vishal experienced a brief episode of fatigue and fainted. It was later confirmed that he had skipped his regular meal that afternoon, having only consumed juice, which likely led to a drop in energy levels. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors conducted a thorough check-up,” the statement read.
“Fortunately, there is no cause for concern. The medical team has confirmed that Vishal is in good health and has advised him to maintain regular meal timings going forward. He is currently doing well and recovering with rest,” the team added. Vishal himself thanked everyone for their concern and continued support.
