Actor Vishal mourns stuntman Raju’s death

Despite all safety precautions, tragedy struck on the sets of director PA Ranjith’s upcoming film when stuntman Raju lost his life during the filming of an action sequence. Actor Arya plays the lead in this yet-to-be-titled project.
The fatal incident occurred on July 13 during a car stunt. Raju was driving an SUV that was meant to take off from a ramp but lost control, causing the vehicle to flip and crash. Crew members rushed to the site and transported Raju to the hospital in an ambulance, as per reports. Unfortunately, he did not survive. The shocking incident has gone viral, with footage of the accident circulating on social media. Actor Vishal took to his social media to mourn Raju’s passing.
“So difficult to digest the fact that stunt artist Raju passed away while doing a car toppling sequence for Jammy Arya and PA Ranjith’s film this morning. I’ve known Raju for so many years. He has performed countless risky stunts in my films. He was such a brave person,” Vishal shared. He added, “I will always be there for his family.” Raju’s untimely demise is a painful reminder of the risks that stunt performers take for cinematic realism. His loss has left a deep void in the industry.
