A delegation from the Adani Foundation, led by Gautam Adani, the Chairperson of the Adani Group, met Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to present a cheque of Rs 100 crore to establish the Young India Skills University.
The initiative is aimed at supporting skill development and empowering the youth of Telangana.
Gautam Adani, in his post on X after the meeting, expressed his gratitude for
getting a chance to be part of the transformative vision of the Telangana government under the leadership of Revanth Reddy.
“Privileged to contribute to the transformative vision and inspiring leadership of @TelanganaCMO Revanth Reddy with the Young India Skills University initiative. Together, we are not just shaping the future of our youth. We are unlocking the boundless potential for a brighter, prosperous India. Here’s to creating a lasting legacy that will uplift generations to come!” Adani said on X.
The donation and meeting, however, drew reactions on social media, especially after the Indian National Congress (INC) posted on X earlier in the day accusing Prime Minister Modi of being Adani’s agent.
Shortly after the meeting between Revanth Reddy and Gautam Adani, KTR took to X, commenting on the timing of the donation and the AICC’s earlier statement.
In his post, KTR said, “AICC tweets about Modani this morning. Same day in Telangana. What should we call this Jodi? Revanth + Adani = Revdani. Ra Ga + Adani = RaGadani.”
The meeting sparked discussions with many questioning the political dynamics at play, while others focussed on the positive impact of the Young India Skills University initiative for the state’s youth.
