Popular singer Mangli’s birthday celebrations have now landed in a major controversy after Cyberabad police reportedly raided a resort near Chevella, following a tip-off about alleged drug usage at the event. Some reports claim that the Chevella police have booked a case against Mangli for drug abuse, lack of liquor permission from the Excise Department, and the use of unauthorized sound equipment.

Since Revanth Reddy took over as Chief Minister, he has emphasized that Telangana must become a drug-free state and constituted a dedicated anti-narcotics team to eliminate drug usage. The government has been taking stringent measures against drug-related activities and has maintained a no-tolerance stance. Reports now suggest that several celebrities—including lyricists, actors, and other public figures—attended the party. During the raid, authorities allegedly seized significant quantities of marijuana and various bottles of foreign liquor. Samples collected from the scene reportedly tested positive for drug substances, according to some sources.
Popular lyricist Kasarla Shyam, who was among the attendees, clarified his side of the story. “I was there at the birthday party, and I left after the cake-cutting celebrations. I don’t know anything about the drugs, and I always maintain distance from such substances. I have never used them,” Kasarla told some media outlets.
Actress Divi Vadthya also issued a clarification regarding her presence. She sent an audio message to the media, saying, “I went to her birthday party because she is a friend. If someone made a mistake at the party, it’s not fair to drag everyone’s name into it. She is a good person and a friend to me, so I attended. But I am not responsible for any wrongdoing that happened there, and please don’t misuse my photos.” Divi further added, “I am slowly building my career, and if people associate my name wrongly, it affects my future. So, please verify the facts.”
Actor Racha Ravi of Jabardasth fame has come forward to issue a clarification, distancing himself from the event. “It has come to my notice that my name is being mentioned in association with the event related to Mangli’s birthday. I would like to clarify that I was not present at the party, nor was I involved in any way,” said Racha Ravi. He added, “Over the past few days, I have been completely occupied with my shooting schedule and haven’t had the time to even visit my own family.”
Expressing disappointment over the misinformation, Ravi said, “I was quite surprised to see my name being circulated across news channels and publications. With utmost respect, I kindly urge media professionals to please verify the facts before including my name in such reports.”
