Plot:

Aha Naa Pellanta is a story of a boy Srinu (played by Raj Tarun) who gets dumped on his wedding day as his bride elopes with the man she loved. The story unfolds when a frustrated Srinu plans to take revenge. The eight-episode series is now streaming on Zee 5.

Analysis:
Aha Naa Pellanta is Raj Tarun’s first web series. The first episode begins with Srinu (Raj Tarun), as a young boy, proposing to a girl on the stage. Angered by this, Narayana (Harshavardhan), Srinu’s father takes an oath from him that he never flirts or gets into any relationship with any woman before his marriage, in turn, Narayana promises to never hit him. All this ‘oathing’ happens as Susheela (played by Aamani), Srinu’s mother, blackmails to leave Narayana as he hit their son ruthlessly for proposing to a girl.

The first episode opens with many fun elements and also the frustration of Srinu as his bride left him. The second episode is his Hyderabad entry where the likes of Getup Srinu, Ravi Siva Teja, Madhunandan, and Thagabothu Ramesh are introduced, followed by the rest of the cast. While the second episode, despite having many comedy elements, feels a bit slow, the pace picks up with the entry of Maha (Played by Shivani), who gets kidnapped by Raj Tarun and two of his friends.

You won’t feel the effort of watching all eight episodes of the series in a row because they all flow so effortlessly. It has so many comedic details and exchanges that it is certain to make you laugh. The dialogues in this series will keep you hooked throughout, and since it has a very subdued, clean, non-offensive comedy that is organic, the youngsters will probably apply some of the jokes in their everyday conversations.

One gets taken on an emotional journey by the eighth episode of the show. Despite the fact that this series is categorised as a romantic comedy, we just cannot avoid discussing the romance. Any young person will undoubtedly be able to relate to Raj Tarun and Shivani’s love story because it appeared on film to be so subtle. Without any fancy or commercial components, it is very relevant and neither overpowering nor depressing; instead, it just goes with the flow and speed of the movie, making you feel all “cosy.”

Performances:
Whether it’s his hairstyle, his somewhat bulked-up body, or his whole appearance, Raj Tarun gets a complete makeover. In this movie, he looks very presentable and pleasing. The audience will enjoy him in his new role as a lovely loving boy. Speaking of Shivani, she consistently engages the audience with her endearing tone; yet, in this series, Shivani’s portrayal of Maha stands out as a haughty yet vivacious woman. She gave full justice to the distinctive and peculiar nature of her character. Posani Krishna Murali, Harshavardhan, and Aamani don’t need to be singled out because they consistently wore their parts with style. Getup Srinu, Madhunandan, Thagabothu Ramesh, and Bhadram all played their roles well, but Ravi Siva Teja is one of the characters that stands out. He plays the friend of Raj Tarun. It is safe to say that he played a major role in the comedy of this series.

Technicalities:
Without any fuss, Sanjeev Reddy’s direction was very clear and straightforward. It was the ideal setting for a modern-day romantic comedy series. The dialogues by Sheik Dawood and screenplay by Kalyan Raghav compliment each other very well. Not to be overlooked, this series also benefits from the music by Judah Sandhy and the background score by Pavan Kumar, particularly the theme song, Aha Naa Pellanta. It will undoubtedly appear on everyone’s wedding playlist moving forward.

Conclusion:
Overall, this is a romantic comedy movie that you may add to your collection of feel-good films. There are a few lags here and there with a routine story, however, there isn’t any reason to miss out watching this feel-good love comedy drama.

However, one will surely wish they had a parent like Narayana  (played by Harshavardhan) by the end of the series. Additionally, this is intended for people who love romantic movies with a pinch of comedy. Rating: 3/5
