The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, on Friday declared Mirza Riyaz Ul Hassan Effendi of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) elected to the Telangana Legislative Council from the Hyderabad Local Authorities’ Constituency.
The announcement followed the completion of vote counting for the biennial elections to the Council. According to the official press note issued under U.O.No. 720/Elecs.D/2025-66 dated April 25, 2025, the Returning Officer confirmed Effendi’s victory.
The Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarsan Reddy issued the declaration, and the results have been communicated to the Information and Public Relations Department for further dissemination.
Effendi, a senior AIMIM leader, retains the party’s representation in the Upper House from the Hyderabad constituency, which has remained a stronghold for the party.
