All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate’s victory and the BJP candidate’s defeat is a mere formality. Because, as declared by its working president, KT Ramarao, the BRS party corporators did not participate in the Hyderabad local body MLC elections held on Wednesday. However, the Congress corporators participated in the elections as stated by the Hyderabad district in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. Ponnam Prabhakar made it clear that their corporators won’t cast their votes for BJP.
With the participation of only Congress corporators, the BJP’s hopes of winning the MLC elections are highly unlikely. The AIMIM fielded Meerza Riyaz Ul Hasan Effendi, and the BJP fielded N Goutham Rao in the MLC elections.
