Another actress from North, Aishwarya Sharma is making her debut with Drinker Sai film opposite Dharma. Kiran Tirumalasetty is the director and the film is releasing on December 27. Ahead of the film’s release, Aishwarya talks about her debut and the film. “I play a medical student Baghi in this film,” said Aishwarya. She added that when she heard this story, she felt her character is very strong. “It was quite challenging as an actress, but I was excited to take it on. I auditioned for this film by performing a few scenes and they liked it and then were taken into this project,” she said.
Talking about her background, Aishwarya’s father is a stage actor. “May be his influence has affected me unconsciously. Since childhood, I wanted to become an artist,” she said. Initially, she wanted to be a dancer and a singer. “After completing my 12th grade, I moved to Mumbai from Jammu and enrolled in an acting course. Upon finishing the course, I started giving auditions. I had only appeared in advertisements,” she said.
Acting in a Telugu film is difficult because of the language. “Sometimes, I didn’t fully understand what I was saying, that was the only challenge I faced during the shooting,” she said. Her co-actor Dharma is very supportive especially when it comes to delivering the dialogues in Telugu, she added.
“I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of this project. The film also conveys some meaningful messages,” she said. Talking about her role, she said her character will appear innocent but also tough, strict, and somewhat rebellious. “There are some fun elements in my character,” she said.

The actress said that Drinker Sai and Arjun Reddy are completely different. “Arjun Reddy portrays a classy version of a drinker, whereas our Sai is a more mass-oriented character,” she said. The actress said that her family members mostly watch South Indian films, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. “I am very happy to be a part of such an industry,” she said and adding that Dhanush is her favourite actor. “I recently watched Lucky Baskhar,” said Aishwarya.
