Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s new film ‘Vidaamuyarch’ was released in Telugu as ‘Pattudala’ simultaneously on February 6. First of all, the movie doesn’t have any promotions in Telugu. So, people don’t know about it. The second thing is that the movie shows were cancelled on Friday in many areas. “There is no audience to see the film. Hence the theatre people had to cancel the show,” says a trade analyst. The reviews of this film were also not great as many criticised it and also declared it a flop.
After a two-year gap, Ajith Kumar has come up with this film and it seems there are no takers for it even in Tamil. The actor is not promoting his film as he never participated in any promotional event or interviews about the film. Even the actor cancelled his fans association too. As a result, the producer has to take a risk if he wants to make a film with Ajith, says a source.
In Visakhapatnam, Tanuku, Palakollu and many other places, the second day ‘Pattudala’ shows were cancelled because there was no audience.
