The combination of Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu has delivered multiple hits including Simha, Legend and Akhanda. The duo is now back with the much-anticipated sequel, Akhanda 2: Thandavam.
Boyapati kickstarted the shoot at the Kumbh Mela a few weeks ago and is now scouting locations in Georgia. In fact, the director celebrated his birthday on Thursday in Georgia.
The production house has also confirmed that the team will soon travel to Georgia for an important schedule of the film. The makers have already locked the release date—September 25, 2025—coinciding with the Dasara festival.
While Akhanda featured Pragya Jaiswal as the female lead, the sequel sees Samyuktha replacing her. Aadhi Pinisetty is also set to play a key role in the film. After wrapping the Georgia schedule, the team will return to India to shoot a few crucial sequences.
