‘All facilities for Area Hospital’

Minister for Transport M Ramprasad Reddy has said the Area hospital here would be developed and all needed facilities would be provided to the patients.
The Minister on Friday inspected the Area hospital here in Annamayya district accompanied by the officials. He went to all wards including the operation theatre and saw the medical equipment.
The Minister saw the unhygienic conditions in the hospital vicinity and expressed anger over the hospital superintendent Dr. David Kumar. The Minister also vented his anger for the poor quality of the construction of a 100-bed hospital. The new hospital building was constructed during the YSRCP regime.
“The contractor did not maintain quality. Since bills were not cleared, the contractor completed the hospital work hastily without maintaining quality standards in the works. Moreover, even basic amenities were not provided to the patients in the newly constructed area hospital consequently the patients are suffering,” Minister Ramprasad Reddy slammed.  
Underlining the need to provide all required facilities to the patients, the Minister stated that he would discuss the issue with the Chief Minister and the Health Minister to further develop the area hospital and provide all facilities. The Minister also promised to install air conditioning in the hospital with his own money.
“Rayachoti Area Hospital plays a significant role in providing medical treatment as patients from 15 mandals come to the hospital. He said that many trauma cases of road accidents are also referred to the area hospital. The area hospital will be developed on par with the private hospital in six months,” Minister Ramprasad Reddy promised.
