MLA Veerlapalli Shankar on Sunday criticised former minister and BRS MLA T Harish Rao for going back on his promised to resign as MLA if the government fulfilled its promise of waiving farm loan August 15.
Shankar criticised the previous BRS government for neglecting and in fact that the farmers were mistreated. He recounted a meeting with farmers where issues with the loan waiver were discussed, revealing that some farmers experienced problems due to technical reasons. He assured the farmers that all cultivators would get crop loan waiver benefit. Shankar was addressing a group of farmers at his camp office.
