‘All pump set repairs should be completed by April 12’

Instructing that all pump set repairs are mandated to be completed by April 12, the Principal Secretary of the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, and RWS Sandeep Kumar Sultania, emphasised the critical importance of water supply during the summer months, considering the current rainy conditions.
The Principal Secretary instructed Operation and Maintance agencies to address all repairs within 12 hours, along with all pump set repairs are mandated to be completed by April 12. Pump set agencies are instructed to quickly prepare and submit an action plan to the concerned chief engineers. In the same way, agencies have been directed to maintain available spare parts related to pump sets.
Sandeep Kumar Sultania said that the department must ensure the provision of drinking water to every household in rural areas without interruption. Even minor issues with pump sets, pipelines, or power supply could lead to disturbances in water supply to certain residences. Efficient management of the O&M agency was stressed as crucial to make sure uninterrupted and 100% supply to households.
The agencies have committed to strictly follow the department’s timeline and actively address both current and future repair needs.
The Principal Secretary of the government has directed the respective chief engineers to identify problematic areas within the state and give them special attention, ensuring daily water supply.

Engineer-in-Chief, Mission Bhagiratha Department, G. Krupakar Reddy, and other engineers from various agencies including Megha Engineering, Raghava Connections, NC C, L&T, IHP, Koya and Company, participated in the review meeting on water supply and management at the Mission Bhagiratha Head Office on Saturday.
