All set for APPSC Group-2 exam today

Chief Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy has said that extensive arrangements have been made for the conduct of APPSC Group-2 Screening Written Exams to be held across the State on Sunday (February 25). The CS held a video conference with District Collectors, SPs, APPSC and other officials on Saturday. On this occasion, he ordered the District Collectors and SPs to ensure that the Group-2 preliminary screening tests to be held on Sunday are conducted peacefully without any untoward incident. Similarly, it was ordered to ensure that minimum facilities like drinking water and electricity supply are available in the examination centres.
The CS stated that these exams will be held in 1,327 centres across the State. He said that the exams will be held from 10.30 am to 1 pm. He further said that 24 All India Service Officers, 450 Route Officers and 1330 Liaison Officers have been appointed for continuous supervision of the examinations.
He said that 24,142 invigilators and another 8,500 other staff have been appointed in the examination centres. Moreover, as part of the wide security measures, 3,971 police personnel have been appointed and 900 escort personnel have been appointed to ensure the safe transportation of exam papers, answer sheets etc.
CS Jawahar Reddy said that many examination centres have been connected with CCTV cameras so that the examination process can be continuously monitored. He stated that 14 RTC buses have been arranged to transport men and materials related to the conduct of examinations. District Collectors and SPs of various districts along with APPSC Secretary Pradeep Kumar participated in the video meeting.
