All set for ‘Palle Panduga’ in 300 panchayats: DC

East Godavari District Collector P Prashanthi has said that all arrangements have been made to organize ‘Palle Panduga’ programmes under NREGA in 300 village panchayats in the district.  
Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan held a video conference with the Collectors of all districts on Tuesday and discussed organizing the Palle Panduga in village panchayats.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Prashanthi said that preparations are being made to the full extent to organize Palle Panduga in East Godavari district from October 14 to 21. She said that the work schedule has been finalized by contacting local Legislators and public representatives and involving them, adding that village meetings were held in the district on August 23 and the works were identified.
“The administrative approval has been given for 999 works related to Panchayati Raj and RWS to be carried out at a cost of Rs.96.71 crore. The technical aspects of the RWS-Drains works have been brought to the attention of the State level officials.  The works of 698 CC roads of the Panchayat Raj to be carried out at a cost of Rs 67.73 crore and 301 drainage works of RWS to be carried out at a cost of Rs 28.98 crore and the proposals of the works were prepared,” the Collector made it clear.
